Lady Gaga was a favorite costume this year. Yep, sans pants. (via BuzzFeed)
With Halloween just passed, you’ve probably noticed a disproportionate number of unsavory pictures floating around Facebook.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the sexy cop rubber jumpsuit seemed like a good idea at the time, but now all you’re left with is a PVC rash and the dozen or so photos you were tagged in on Facebook. Not a good look for anyone, but even worse if you’re trying to present yourself as a mature professional.
But… There’s an app for that!
The laundry detergent brand WISK has just released a Facebook application called WISK-IT, which helps you to “wash away the filth and clean up your profile.” The gist of how it works is you install the app, select your photographic indiscretions and it sends a message to the owner of the picture asking him/her to remove it.
Whether or not there’s actually a utility in this, it’s brilliant campaign and a great example of a less than sexy brand finding a creative way to engage in social media. (Credit goes to TracyLocke, a marketing agency based out of Dallas, Texas).
