I admittedly know little about Wikimedia&#039;s financials or &quot;Jimbo&#039;s&quot; &lt;i&gt;transgressions&lt;/i&gt; (sheesh, that word is certainly getting its 15 minutes of fame!). But, what I do know is that Wikipedia has been a great utility for me personally. In the same way that I expect to pay for any &lt;b&gt;useful&lt;/b&gt; online service (whether it&#039;s directly via subscription or a freemium model or indirectly via advertising or data collection/trend mining), I felt some sort of remuneration was deserved. 
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
And honestly, if &quot;Jimbo&quot; wants to piss away my $20 donation on first class tix to Korea, I&#039;m not really fussed - just so long as Wikipedia keeps on delivering for me like it has countless times in the past.</description>
